Our approach is to work with land and homeowners to develop a plan to fit individual needs, including short or long-term maintenance needs. Short term needs include emergency or immediate tree removals, tree plantings, or other vegetation care. Long-term needs consists of preserving existing trees through preservation based training or planting new trees for property enhancement. It also may include forest management or tree care plans over a certain period of time.We believe in sustainable tree care and land management. Whenever possible, we utilize a holistic approach to assessments & tree care. Through natural resource based work, we look at the entire picture of a situation. We are experienced in coastal and island land management, forest thinning, forest revitalization, tree removals, tree planting, pruning, gardening and site maintenance. We also custom stone work, and garden beds and garden fences on request.Mountain Wren provides services as simple and straight forward as a tree removal or pruning job, to tree health assessments for tree preservation. We also provide annual tree pruning for tree health longevity or property asset.With a background of working in public service with the National Park Service, US Forest Service and local land trusts, we enjoy collaborating with owners on tree education by answering questions, providing information or researching a topic of concern or interest. Fred and Melissa have an extensive background with wildland fire management, trails, and resource management. Tending to trees and plants is an integral part of their philosophy. Fred completed his arborist training with the Olmsted National Historic Training Program and is licensed with the state of Maine.We look forward to working with you.
